Principal’s Welcome

I am delighted that you are considering ACG Sunderland for your child’s education.  It is a great pleasure and privilege for me to lead Sunderland Primary School as Waitakere City’s only co-educational private school.

Sunderland was established in 2007, and as Sunderland’s Foundation Principal I have placed high emphasis on establishing a culture of traditional values, small class sizes, well-qualified and motivated teachers, and a happy and positive learning environment.

At ACG Sunderland, we offer specialist facilities and teachers. This allows us to deliver to students a holistic education of academic opportunities, participation in co-curricular activities and high expectations.  Our terrific staff are able to meet the individual needs of our students to allow students to develop their unique talents.

In the Primary School we provide a safe, caring and dynamic learning environment where children experience a curriculum that engages them to explore, question, experience and discuss.  Students also learn to use technologies with skill and success.

Throughout the formative years of primary school our emphasis will centre on Sunderland children:
